She knows all of that at 12 weeks? Wow. It took me a year to teach my westie sit, paw, down, over (agility training), come, wait, down, up and clap. And they are just the basics, next i’m gonna teach him round and rollover. He already does these things, but not on command, any advice?

This is impressive! I got my baby girl Westie (Ellie) 4 days ago (she’s just over 8 weeks old) and I’d like to know HOW you got your darling to be so non-hyperactive! At the moment Ellie is just so excited when she’s awake it’s hard to get her to settle to concentrate (even when I constantly praise her during the rare quite moments) I have managed to work in ‘fetch’ and ‘come’, and sort of ‘sit’ (before she’s allowed out of her playpen) but do you have any tips/advice? Greatly appreciated =)

wow! your dog is adorable! I have an 8 weeks old shih tzu. I’ve been trying to teach her tricks and so far, she had just learned how to sit and stand on command. when I call her with her name, I need to clap my hands or stomp my feet to get her attention. I wanna teach her more tricks, can you tell me what should I do for her to listen to me. She hasn’t been listening to me lately coz she gets distracted really fast. so yeah, any suggestions will do. thanks. looking forward on your reply.

I got a westie, now it’s 6years old, but i’ve tried to train it for like 5 years (stopped last year, since i didn’t think that it helped at all), but my westie is a male a it can’t walk without leash, and it can’t play with other males, because then it wants to be the leader dog…. that allways turns out to be a fight… how can i train my dog not to be like this, and make it walk no-leash??
