Training a dog and training a wife is much the same. You must beat them hard enough that they will always obey you.

@PuppyExpress .. Race=skin color. Judging by his accent, he sounds like he’s from Britain. This is a nationality, not a race.

Hi! Thanks for inquiring about this video. The black and white puppy that you see in the video is an Old English Shepdog puppy.

omg so does mine, I always have to tie my hair up when i want to carry her for awhile…

I would take care of the dog biting and eating everything ASAP. Like what was said when that dog gets bigger it’ll be a pain in the **** to correct.
Treat training might work for some I’m just saying that I have never used it at my kennel or with any of my personal dogs. If that’s how you want to train your dog then so be it. But, to me treat training puts the dog on the same level as you and ALL dogs are pack animals, so they need a alpha dog.

1:30 is sooo funny! =D
October 26th, 2010 at 10:14 pm
You really should correct that. I know it sounds harsh, but if you don’t correct it early on, they will do it when they are full grown and that’s NOT so cute.

my labrador puppy is insane she loves to bite shoes, clothes, including my hair
October 27th, 2010 at 2:22 pm
not all dogs respond the same way
sometimes you could ask it to do something and it would just turn around and leave
labs. tend to be easier to train with positive reinforcement but as i said before not all dogs are the same
October 30th, 2010 at 12:04 am
grapes can be toxic to dogs
November 2nd, 2010 at 3:57 am
I’m a professional retriever trainer and have never used treats. People should use positive reinforcement for training instead of treats.
November 5th, 2010 at 12:13 pm
Well, as long as my vet doesn’t have a problem with what I am doing, I am fine. I think I’ll follow his lead, sorry.
November 5th, 2010 at 12:32 pm
Of course they will tell us to use treats, they are trying to advertise their products!
November 7th, 2010 at 3:36 am
good point!. And if You are going to use treats then try to make them healthy like carrots or grapes. My dogs get 1 greenie treat a day to keep their teeth healthy. praise has been the best training reward I have ever used.
November 7th, 2010 at 6:46 am
i agree. praise and authority are definitetly the key to training and NO has always worked well for me and my dogs. don’t agree with this treating every time they get something right. treats should be treats not bribes for good baheviour.
