clickers are for hippies? Lol, I was told them make dogs bite children :p Amazing the things people invent.
I was already training fairly positive when I found your channel, between you and an article on Karen pryors site, gave me the boost I needed to drop the NRMs, and the belief that animals can be trained without P+ became real to me.
You have inspired so many people. I hope you are proud of yourself. My dogs thank you.
i love this channel! You were the one who got me into positive reinforcement because I only have traditional trainers where I am from that use choke collars and all that crap. We are in a class (i wasn’t aware they were using choke collars) and I refused to put one on my puppy, and he is doing better than the other dogs because I only use positive reinforcement! Thanks
yes i really do apperiate it, i am training both my dogs to be service dogs and really like your videos on teaching targeting touch. the thought popped into my head of this being one of the techs that i can teach my two dogs, the thought popped into my head just this morning about it. i would love to hear some more ideas from you on more techs that i can teach them . both dogs will be service dogs for my two boys that have disabitlitys, autism n ocd. and adhd w/ bipolar, odd and me whom is hoh.
I really appreciate your videos, I’m so glad you take the time to make them to share with us! It’s great to be able to see how the clicker training works. I have been trying to train my dogs without no’s or uh-uhs, but it’s very hard to keep my mouth shut This week we adopted a 5mth old who has not had much training and she is responding happily to the clicker already. I can’t afford to take the expensive clicker classes around here, so I really appreciate the videos.
That is totally understandable and I’m sure that many of us can relate to what you are feeling about doing the tape. But with all the great responses that you get and are getting, it was probably time for people to get to know you a bit more. To help them even more, if that makes sense. Keep listening to your heart!
Emily, we ARE grateful for what you’re doing! You inspired me , I was watching tons of clicker training videos, and then I found your channel. You finnally brightened things up for me.Everything is so clear when you explain it.I absolutely admire and love what you do..Passion is a good thing to have

Absolutely excellent vids i’ve recently decided to try doing dog training because of your vids as exactly as you mentioned people don’t train with positive reinforcements . Hoping to start classes up in my area in August x 3 x 3 x
Thank you so much for all of your videos, Emily. It is so great that you provide free tutorials on important subjects and fun tricks. I am one of those people who lives in a small town with no actual clicker trainers. Some use clickers, but are not true clicker trainers. Your videos have helped me so much. I wish you would do a seminar near me in New Jersey! It’s great to hear your background. I really think you should have your own show:) – Jillian and River
emily, me finding your channel was the best thing that ever happened to my shy chihuahua. and i know i say this too much but i love the kiko dog so much.
thank you for all you share. your philosophy is so needed in the world. esp now.
@SinisterSkip Well, to tell you the truth, 1- I used to be an extremely shy person, and still am a little held back with making these videos 2- I have super crooked teeth 3- I am super serious about training 4- I **** being someone Im not just to get more youtube views
Emily, Thank you for sharing a little about yourself with us. Like everyone else here, you have been a huge inspiration to me as well. I didn’t know nothing about positive reinforcement and clicker training until I came across HunkymonkeyKaine’s video’s and yours. I can’t thank you enough for the help you have given me. You have changed my life and the life of my dogs in so many ways
Thanks again
