@Zeddna I agree with you, this “leave it” should be taught with the dogs favourite toy. And I don’t think the leash is for making the dog pay attention.

I agree with you. The trainer here needs “leave it” training. Why is he keeps on feeding the dog? Any one could draw away attention like that.

Truthfully, I find his training tip unhelpful because he does not place the “forbidden object” down or anything. The dog might go after it if it was alone at home; some dogs like bottles, some don’t. That, or it might become custom to only leaving that specific object alone and not follow the command with something else be it object or creature. Also, giving the dog a treat constantly would make it eventually obese.
My way of teaching “Leave it” is different from his thankfully.
